Our daycare centre - a home to feel good in
Our daycare centre is located on a quiet side street adjacent to the TU Bergakademie Freiberg campus. The daycare centre can be reached by city bus line C, which stops on nearby Winklerstraße.
The facility is located less than three minutes' walk from the campus and yet in the middle of a large, spacious garden with shady trees and screening shrubs that invite children to play hide-and-seek and build dens.
Children can run around to their heart's content, practise their skills, discover adventures and experience nature up close.
Rooms
The daycare centre offers spacious and versatile rooms that are specially tailored to the needs of crèche and kindergarten children. From the bright multi-purpose room and creative play and education rooms to the covered terrace area - children will find ideal conditions for learning, playing and discovering here.
Parents' association
The parents' association "Villa Kunterbunt" e.V. has supported the Hornmühlenweg daycare centre since it was founded by committed parents and educational staff. As a support association, it organises events, finances play materials and serves as an important interface between parents, daycare centre management and the provider.
Application for a childcare place
There is a common application procedure for all early childhood development centres in Freiberg. You can submit the application online or print out the standardised form. It is also available in our childcare centres or can be obtained from the Freiberg town council at the information desk in the community centre or from the Office for Education, Youth and Social Affairs.
